What a gem! Surrounded by Dutch bakeries, but I would make a bee line to this cafe instead. The coffee is amazing, both regular and Turkish, the baklava is perfection, and - wow - the food! We had the “Sam’s Bagel” and the Santa Barbara Brunch. The bagel was the best meal I’ve had in ages, perfect bites every time with labneh, cucumber, olives, honey, mint leaves, za’atar… Just wow. And the service made me feel like a regular. I will plan more trips to Solvang just to come back to La Dolce.
I had the cheese and za’atar kunafeh with the arabic coffee.. and it was the best breakfast!! the coffee was so flavorful and smooth. I’ve never tried kunafeh before, but now i’ll always order it when i can! with a crispy and crunchy top, warm stretchy cheese on the bottom.. the different flavors and textures, to me, were amazing! Please branch out of the ordinary sweet breakfast options and try this savory combo 😄
I finally found a cafe in Solvang that is open in the evening! Tons of options, fresh juice, coffee, tea, bakery items, food etc. I think I was served by the owner who explained the menu and customizable options. You can tell he is very proud as he should be. I think this is the best cafe in town. Also there is a cute patio area that was quiet with flowers. Will definitely be a regular.
Just stopped in here on our way through Solvang, recommended by one of the popular bakeries. The staff was so kind and welcoming, gave us great recommendations. I got the coconut almond baklava and the pistachio iced coffee. It was delicious ! Not something I’d typically go for but I figured why not and was pleasantly surprised. Also so pretty!!
This happens to me my favorite place in the valley to have coffee and pastries the other day. I ran it to Arnold Schwarzenegger and he was leaving as I was getting here.! He loves it too, but aside from that the customer service is friendly. They have the best selection of baklava hazelnut walnut cashew, sugar-free pistachio and a great lunch and breakfast and juice bar places is Amazing!
I make a stop every time I'm in Solvang. I've tried many of the unique iced coffees, including pistachio today, and they are always delicious. The breakfast burrito with bacon (ALWAYS put bacon in your burritos, people!) hits the spot. The shop is quant, and the no nonsense slightly rough around the edges owner adds to the old world charm. Lots of good seating in the shaded courtyard out front. Cafe Dolce is a go to staple when visiting one of my favorite little towns on the planet!
Wonderful coffee and Baklava at Cafe Dolce. It was our first time and the service was amazing. The coffee was so rich and delicious. We will definitely come back. I think it’s our favorite place in Solvang. We will make sure to tell our friends about Cafe Dolce too! Thanks so much!!
Very tasty Baklava and Kunafa. Always freshly made on the spot just for you! Mr. Majed is very friendly. He took excellent care of us. Mr. Arnold Schwarzenegger, and many more famous people come here to enjoy the tasty treats. This place however comes with a high price tag.
Cafe Dolce is located inside the Solvang Village area conveniently located near all the shops. It's tucked back in the middle a bit hidden, but well worth the find as you uncover the gem of a shaded patio with tables for dining. The cafe has a good sized breakfast and lunch menu. After shopping all morning I was ready for a good panini and Cafe Dolce did not disappoint. I ordered a turkey/bacon and an Anthony Bourdain Mortadella sandwich. Service was very friendly and nice. My wife and I found a great spot in the pain with our small dog. The sandwiches arrived quickly and were still hot, with a wonderful aroma. Both were thick with their choice of meat. My turkey and bacon sandwich was delicious with ample amounts of bacon and avocado. My wife absolutely loved her mortadella sandwich. Portions were good-sized as I barely was able to eat all of my sandwich and my wife had to get a to go box. There are lots of good choices for Danish food in the area, but if you want a fantastic sandwich, go to Cafe Dolce
If you’re in the mood to try out something new, definitely check out this place! I would say the Turkish coffee was a little more expensive than anticipated (14.99 per little pink glass cup.. size of a double espresso) but for fun and the experience pretty awesome! The coffee is strong and yummy! Their caramel macchiato is also bomb!
